Membership

The Central-Emerson Community is open to everyone.  No dues are required to be a member.

While you do not need to be a PTA member to be a member of the C.E.C., there are many benefits to becoming an offical PTA member.

WHAT IS PTA & WHY JOIN?

PTA is a grassroots association working exclusively to improve the education and well-being of all children and youth at home, in school and in the community. PTA membership is as diverse as Washington state is in culture, education level, and parenting style.

By joining a PTA, a member automatically becomes part of the largest child-advocacy association in the state. There are more than 132,000 members statewide, with 876 local units and 32 councils.

The number-one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school, but there are many more advantages:

 Get connected.
 Discover great resources.
 Tap into a network.
 Watch yourself grow.
 Speak up.
 Help your child succeed.
 Witness improvement.
 Be a role model.

Privileges exclusive to PTA Members

Discover Great Resources. The PTA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students.

Enjoy Substantial Benefits. Individuals and local units can take advantage of membership benefits including discounts and offers from benefit providers and sponsors, magazine subscriptions, leadership training, e-newsletters and much more.
